MINTHIS HILLS JUNIOR OPEN - SUNDAY, OCTOBER 17, 2010

The day promised to be a good one as the wind had died down and the sun was shining.
We had a wonderful field of 59 children, with 14 in Category 1, 26 in Category 2, 8 in Category 3, 3 in Category 4, and last but not least 8 in Category 5.
They were greeted at reception and then duly collected their "goody" bags and clubs and trolleys at the ready.

The members at Minthis Hills came out in force to ensure all the flights of players had an "escort" with them, some of the smaller children had two escorts with them which was really appreciated.

The much sought after 18 hole winner was a closely fought game and the eventual winner being Jessica Heap of Minthis Hills, with Douglas McCardle from JSGC a very close second.
The children were treated to a great buffet and they tucked in with gusto.

Delighted to report that nearly all the players and their parents stayed for prize-giving, and duly collected their prizes.
