Paphos Golfers Association (PGA) was formed in 2006 to provide cheaper Golf for people who did not want the expense of joining one of the three (now four) golf clubs in the Paphos region. We welcome new residential and overseas members.

The Association became members of the Cyprus Golf Federation in 2008 and the Association's residential members' handicaps are managed by the CGF. Overseas members can retain their CONGU handicaps. We are presently the proud holders of the CGF Cup which is the annual team competition held between all the clubs in Cyprus in early June of each year.

The Association holds a monthly competition on the last Sunday of each month. June and November meetings being Captain's Day and Chairman's Day respectively. All members must play in at least three competitions each year. The monthly competitions are held mainly at Minthis Hills Golf Club (which is our home club) as well as being held at Secret Valley Golf Club and Aphrodite Hills Golf Club.

Members are entitled to a membership card which will give them reduced green fees which have been negotiated by the Association at Minthis Hills, Secret Valley and Aphrodite Hills Golf Clubs. In addition each member will receive a Paphos Golfers Association shirt.
Presently there are a few vacancies for both residential and overseas members and anyone wishing to apply should communicate with Ian Harper, Secretary by e-mail on heatherharper@cytanet.com.cy.

Any new members not already registered with the CGF are required to attend an interview before being considered as full members of the Association. The membership is restricted to 50 Cyprus residential members and 10 overseas members.

The Paphos Golfers Association financial year currently runs from the 1st September to 31st August. There is a one off joining fee of €50 with an annual subscription of €60 which is applied on a sliding scale dependent on the time of year the applicant joins the Association.

The Association has a Committee consisting of Chairman, Captain, Vice Captain, Secretary, Treasurer and Handicap Secretary. The full Committee meet quarterly with an Agenda and with all items from the meeting being formally minuted. The Association has a Constitution and Bye Laws which are revised on a regular basis to reflect any changes in circumstances.
