Cyprus Senior & Super Senior Amateur Men's Open 2024

Amateur gentlemen players who on 21 September 2024 have reached the age of 50 years old, conform to the current Amateur Status Rules of the R&A, and hold a current and valid WHS HI of no more than 24.0 are eligible for entry in the Cyprus Senior Amateur Men’s Open.
Senior Players who were born either on or before 1 January 1959 are eligible to choose either the Cyprus Senior Amateur Men’s Open, or the
Cyprus Super Senior Amateur Men’s Open.
The Cyprus Senior Amateur Men’s Open is a walking competition, and no buggies or other form of player transport may be used. Cyprus Super Senior Amateur Men’s Open entrants are free to choose to walk or ride in a buggy by submitting the appropriate Entry Application Form. Please note that Buggies are limited and will be on a first-come-first-served basis. Players in buggies are not allowed caddies. Walking competitors are permitted electric or manual trolleys and caddies are allowed.

Cyprus Senior & Super Senior Amateur Ladies Open 2024

Amateur lady players who on 21 September 2024 have reached the age of 50 years old, conform to the current Amateur Status Rules of the R&A, and hold a current and valid WHS HI of no more than 30.0 are eligible for entry in the Cyprus Senior Amateur Ladies Open.
Senior Players who were born either on or before 1 January 1959 are eligible to choose either the Cyprus Senior Amateur Ladies Open, or the
Cyprus Super Senior Amateur Ladies Open.

Annual team event organised by CGF, with teams consisting of 8 federated amateur players from each of the Full and Associate Member Clubs competing against each other, in a shotgun start competition.
Club Teams are always encouraged to include both Ladies & Men, depending of course on each club captain’s pick. Men: maximum exact WHS Index 24.0, Ladies: maximum exact WHS Index 28.0 (WHS Exact Indexes at the time of a team’s registration). The format is handicap qualifying Stableford off full handicap allowance, with the best 6 scorecards from each Club, counting.
No buggies may be used, except in the case of players with Official Registered Disabled status. Electric or manual trolleys may be used. Caddies are allowed but must register with the Registrar. For Caddies rules see the document CGF Terms of Competitions as published on the CGF’s website. A non-playing Team Captain is permitted, however no advice maybe given, shared or received in any format on the course.
The winning team will receive the CGF Cup, with individual prizes for the winning players. There are also Best Net Man and Best Net Lady prizes.
Cyprus Golf Federation's premier Junior event (WAGR) to be played on the Donald Steel designed and in recent years renovated by renowned course designers Mackenzie & Ebert course of Minthis, from 8 to 11 February 2024. Eligible for participation are Junior players (boys and girls) residing in Cyprus or internationally who are 18 years old or under as of January 1, 2024 and are in possession of a WHS Index of 9.0 or below for boys, 14.0 or below for girls.The boy player with the lowest gross score over 54 holes will be the Nicos Severis Cyprus Junior Open Boys Champion 2024 and the Girlplayer with the lowest gross score over 54 holes will be the Nicos Severis Cyprus Junior Open Girls Champion 2024.
2024 Host Courses: Eléa Estate (13 April 2024) & Secret Valley (14, 20, 21 April 2024)
Entry to the championship is by invitation only, with each member club of the federation invited to submit the names of their top two players (ideally their Men’s Singles Match Play finalists either from the previous or current year), who will compete against the other clubs’ representatives for the title of the CGF Men’s Matchplay Champion 2024.
A Qualifying stroke play (net) round off the white tees will be played first with the best 8 players proceeding to the Match Play (knock-out) stages played off full handicap allowance.

The Cyprus Amateur Men's Open is the premier golfing event of the Cyprus Golf Federation. For 2024, the tournament will be hosted by the Aphrodite Hills PGA National Cyprus golf course between 24-26 May 2024. This a 54-hole stroke play World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) event. It is open to gemtelmen players who conform to the current Amateur Status Rules of the R&A and hold a current and valid WHS Index of 9.0 and below.
The CGF's annual Charity event, where all proceeds are in aid of Special Olympics Cyprus. The 2024 event will be hosted by Aphrodite Hills, PGA National golf course on 9 June 2024.

Amateur golfers of all nationalities, members of the Cyprus Golf Federation, holding an Active federation license and a Valid WHS Handicap Index within the limits specified in the Conditions of Entry for the event.
Additionally, competitors holding a Cypriot National ID or Cypriot Passport need to submit their Cypriot National ID or Cypriot Passport to the CGF offices (cgf@cgf.org.cy) prior to the closing date for the event to be eligible for automatic inclusion to the National sub-divisions for Men, and Ladies.
